What Do You Have?
25. October 2007 by PWK.

What Do You Have?
God often works with what we have. The truth is, He has given to each one of us something. Moreover He had already blessed the few we have. If we scan through the Bible we, find a man by the name of Moses standing at a Burning-Bush. There, God asks him:
“what is that in hand?”
“A staff.” he replies, ” (Exo 4:2)
Away from the Burning-Bush scenes, we come in contact with a widow from Zarepath. She comes to prophet Elijah saying “I don’t have any bread, only a handful of flour.” (1kings 17:12)
Further in the New Testament, Jesus finds Himself surrounded with five thousands hungry people. And here are twelve staff members with only “only five loaves of bread and two fish.” (Mat 14:17)
The second half of the three stories are history.
- Moses parted the red sea with his staff.
- The widow’s Jars of oil did never run out.
- Jesus fed the five thousands.
What I am saying is very simple. ‘Do not neglect what you have!’
John Mac Arthur wrote, “A person cannot enjoy what he has if he is forever seeking a nonexistent second blessing.” (313)
God’s love for us is incomprehensible. If you don’t know God, you can begin an awesome journey with Him today, by choosing to believe in His son Jesus Christ.
“The kingdom of God is at hand. (Mark 1:14, 15.)
Salvation is available, and free for us to enjoy the freedom, and wonders of God.
Blessings,
PKW.
